Mother's Day 2021: Neetu Kapoor Recalls The Time When Ranbir Kapoor Took Her Out For Lunch Using His Hard Earned Money; 'I Was The Proudest Mother That Day'

It is Mother's Day 2021 and quite a few celebrities are taking to their social media accounts to make special posts dedicated to their mothers. Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Janhvi Kapoor and many more made sweet posts on Instagram wishing their mothers. While Ranbir Kapoor is not on any social media platform, it is his mother Neetu Kapoor who has shared her fondest memory of RK and Mother's Day.

In an interview with Filmfare, Neetu Kapoor revealed that she was the 'proudest' mother when Ranbir took her out for lunch to celebrate Mother's Day using his hard earned money. She was quoted saying, "I remember a nice incident of Ranbir from a Mother’s Day gone by. He had just started earning, I think he was an assistant director in Black then and he had made some money and it was Mother’s Day and he took me to a restaurant called Just Eat Around the Corner. It served lunches for Rs 100 or so and we had to fill the whole plate at one go. So that was my best Mother’s Day as we stood in a line with a plate and I saw everyone was piling up their plate with food as you could go only once to fill the plate. And I was the proudest mother that day, as that was the first ever lunch my son had taken me out for."

In the interview, she also spoke about how they bond over movies. On the other hand, daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni made a post dedicated to Neetu Kapoor saying, "I am a STRONG woman because a STRONG woman raised me! Happy Mother’s Day my Iron Lady ! Love you most."
